Midlife is tricky. Any of these resonate?

  • You probably need to work for quite a few more years but doing what?

  • You know you still have a lot to give to and get from work but it needs shaking up

  • You’re wondering about reducing your hours - or doing something completely different

  • You’re concerned about or have experienced redundancy/job loss

  • Your caring responsibilities for a parent/partner/child are changing

  • You don’t feel like you fit in with the work culture around you

  • You’re not feeling respected/understood by your manager

  • You’re running out of role models - who around you day-to-day really inspires you?

  • You’ve reached where you wanted to get to but now you’re here it’s not “all that”!

  • You’ve been feeling disconnected/disheartened

  • You feel tired and early nights don’t fix it!

  • You have physical symptoms that are making your work harder

  • You’re aware that your emotional state could be better

  • You’re feeling drawn towards a life and work that has more meaning & less stress

  • You keep hearing “Life is short!” and it feels more real than ever!

You are far from alone in this!

The challenges of life in its middle stages are real and shared by so many of us. We need to adapt to changing circumstances in our lives whilst managing difficult work in sometimes pretty unsupportive and overly demanding workplaces.

The risk here is that the very life/work patterns that are gradually damaging us prevent us from finding something better - and the thought of making some sort of leap can feel daunting.

The key is to accept some help. (Most of us have been encouraged to be independent and are proud of our independence - but sometimes we can take it too far and it means we make this stage of our life harder than it needs to be).

Luckily, finding the right coach means that you get to think for yourself about yourself and what you want from your life and work whilst being “held” by someone who gets how hard this can feel, asks you great questions, listens carefully to your answers, offers insights AND believes that you come through the other side to something better - and has helped others like you to do so.

What will you get from coaching?

  • An expanded sense of the options available to you in your life and work

  • A reminder of what you have to offer and your personal strengths

  • Clarity about what matters most to you so your life feels more manageable, meaningful and enjoyable

  • A recognition of your personal values and how your next role(s) might honour them - so you feel comfortable with who you are and what you’re doing

  • A chance to explore the pros and cons of different routes before making a decision

  • A way of moving forward rather than going round in circles with repetitive thoughts

  • A greater sense of what is possible and what the next steps are
